What are radiant heaters?

These are fairly cheap to buy and can be portable or wall mounted. They heat up very quickly and are ideal for providing local warmth outdoors or in large/ draughty locations. They are a convenient, low cost form of heating but can be expensive to run since they mostly use daytime electricity and have poor temperature control.
